Hacker lives matter. This is an often overlooked fact in our modern digitally-connected society. Hackers are responsible for creating and securing many of the technologies which we have come to rely upon on a daily basis. However, the existence of oppressive laws like the CFAA and DMCA, uninformed policymakers, technology-ignorant judges, draconian sentencing regimes, and malicious prosecutors threatens the very foundations of hacker culture, hacker lives, and the future of freedom on the Internet for us all.
